Lombok Komodo Liveaboard Trip – SS

Lombok Komodo Liveaboard Trip

Lombok Komodo liveaboard trip: sail between Lombok and Labuan Bajo in either direction. Compare 3 boats, cabins and sharing-trip dates.

A Lombok Komodo boat trip is a multi-day sail on a traditional phinisi between Lombok and Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. You sleep on board, wake up at a different island each morning and reach the Komodo area by sea instead of by plane.

The three boats below sail this route. Each one runs sharing trips, where you book a cabin and share the boat with other guests, and each can also be chartered for your own group. Departures run in both directions, so you can start in Lombok and finish in Labuan Bajo, or the other way round.

How the route works

  • Start and finish: Lombok at one end, Labuan Bajo at the other. Which one is the start depends on the departure you choose.
  • Length: usually three to five days. Each boat page shows the itinerary and the dates.
  • On board: cabin, meals, snorkelling gear and the crew. What is included and what is not is listed on each boat page.
  • Booking: pick a boat, choose a departure, select your cabins and pay a deposit. Prices are per person.

Which boat should you choose?

Compare the boats by cabin type, price per person and the dates that fit your flights. Larger cabins with a private bathroom cost more per person; smaller cabins keep the price down. If you travel as a group, ask about chartering the whole boat.

Lombok to Labuan Bajo or Labuan Bajo to Lombok?

Both directions follow the same stops in a different order. Choose the one that matches where you land and where you fly out. Starting in Lombok lets you finish with a flight home from Labuan Bajo; starting in Labuan Bajo lets you finish in Lombok, close to the Gili islands and Bali.
