Sail from Lombok to Komodo on Sukha Sail 1
Sukha Sail 1 is a traditional Indonesian phinisi built for the sea route between Lombok and Labuan Bajo. Guests sleep in air-conditioned cabins, eat together in the open-air restaurant and spend the days swimming, snorkelling, walking to viewpoints and watching the coast of Sumbawa slide past.
The boat sails the route in both directions: from Lombok to Labuan Bajo and from Labuan Bajo back to Lombok. Choose the departure that suits your flights, book a cabin and share the boat with other guests, or charter the whole boat for your own group.
Four days from Lombok to Labuan Bajo
Sukha Sail 1 is 34 metres long, was built in 2020 and carries up to twenty-eight guests. On the trip from Lombok, guests are collected in Senggigi, Kuta or Bangsal and the boat starts sailing at noon, with a hike and the sunset on Kenawa Island. Early on day two you look for whale sharks in Saleh Bay before snorkelling at Tambora Beach. Day three covers Manta Point, Komodo Island, Pink Beach and the sunset on Padar Island, and on the last morning you snorkel at Manjarite and walk up Kelor Island before reaching Labuan Bajo around noon.
The two Rinca cabins on the upper deck sleep up to five and suit families, while the lower deck Komodo cabins can be booked by the bed. Shuttles in Lombok and Labuan Bajo, all meals, soft drinks, coffee and tea, snorkelling gear, an English-speaking guide and drone and GoPro documentation are included.
Komodo National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. To plan your trip on Sukha Sail 1, compare other Lombok to Komodo liveaboards, check the Komodo National Park fees and read how booking works.
