Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26 October 2026

These terms apply to every booking you make with DiveTrips.id, online on this website or with our team by WhatsApp or email. They cover sharing trips, private charters and diving charters. Please read them together with our Payment Policy, Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy. When you book, you accept these terms for yourself and for everyone in your booking.

1. Who we are

DiveTrips.id is run by PT Dive Trips Indonesia, Jl. Dewi Sartika No.312, Rt.9/Rw.4, Cawang, Kec. Kramat Jati, Kota Jakarta Timur, DKI Jakarta 13630, Indonesia (“we”, “us”). Contact: booking@divetrips.id or WhatsApp +62 821-5161-1193.

2. Our role and the operator’s role

We are a booking agent. The boats on this website are owned and run by independent boat operators. We show their boats, cabins, prices and departures, take your booking and your payments, pass your details to the operator and look after your booking until you sail.

The operator provides the trip itself: the boat, the captain and crew, meals, safety equipment, the itinerary and the activities on board. On board, the captain is in charge.

3. Making a booking

  • Sharing trips online. The cabins you choose are held for 15 minutes while you fill in your details. When you reserve, the cabins stay held while we check your request, and we email your invoice within 24 hours, with your booking reference, the amount to pay now and the deadline.
  • Private charters. You send a request with your dates, and no payment is taken. The operator confirms availability within 24 hours, and we then send your invoice.
  • Bookings by WhatsApp or email. Our team makes the booking for you and emails your invoice. These terms apply in the same way.
  • Your details. The person who books must be at least 18 years old and must give correct details for the whole group: the number of guests, how many are Indonesian citizens and how many are under 2 (for the park fee), and any dietary or medical needs. Before departure, we or the operator may ask for every guest’s full name and passport or ID details, because the harbour and park authorities need a passenger list.

4. Prices and the park fee

  • Prices are in Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Sharing trip prices are per person; private charter prices are per boat for the trip length you choose. Each boat page lists what the price includes.
  • The Komodo National Park entrance fee is not part of the trip price. It is added to your invoice as its own line. The park authority sets the fee and can change it; if it changes after we issue your invoice, we contact you before asking for any difference. See park fees.
  • Once we have issued your invoice, the trip price stays the same unless you change your booking.
  • If a price on the website is clearly wrong because of a mistake, we tell you as soon as we notice. You can then pay the correct price or cancel with a full refund.

5. Payment

  • If you book more than 60 days before departure, you can pay a 50% deposit or the full amount. The balance is due 60 days before departure.
  • If you book 60 days or less before departure, you pay the full amount.
  • Your first payment, the deposit or the full amount, is due within 72 hours of receiving the invoice. We send a reminder after 24 hours and another after 48 hours. If no payment has arrived after 72 hours, the reservation is cancelled and the cabins are released to other guests. If you need more time, tell us before the 72 hours are over.
  • If the balance has not arrived by its due date, we send a reminder one day later and another two days later. On the third day the booking is cancelled, and the Cancellation Policy applies to what you have paid.
  • You pay in IDR by bank transfer, Wise or Revolut, to the account shown on your invoice, with your booking reference. Please pay only to the account on your invoice. Our team checks every payment and updates your invoice to “Deposit paid” and then “Paid in full”.
  • Your booking is confirmed when your deposit or full payment arrives. Before departure, the operator sends your trip details, such as the pick-up time and place.

The full rules are in our Payment Policy.

6. If you change or cancel

  • You can reschedule a sharing trip up to 65 days before departure, subject to availability.
  • If you cancel 60 days or more before departure, you receive 40% of what you paid. From 59 days before departure there is no refund. This also applies if you do not join the trip or miss the departure.
  • Please send changes and cancellations in writing, by email or WhatsApp. The day we receive your message is the date that counts.

The full rules are in our Cancellation Policy.

7. If we or the operator cancel or change your trip

  • Events outside our control. If the boat cannot sail because of an emergency, force majeure, bad weather, unrest, government or park rules, or another event outside our and the operator’s control, you can move your trip to another date or receive a 70% refund of what you paid.
  • Any other reason. If we or the operator cancel your booking for any other reason, for example because the boat is no longer available, you choose: a comparable boat, another date, or a full (100%) refund of what you paid.
  • Changes during the trip. The captain may change the route, the order of stops or the timings for safety, weather, sea conditions or park rules. This is part of sailing in a national park and is not a cancellation. The route maps on this website are a guide; the crew confirms the stops.

8. Refunds

We pay every refund within 14 days of the day you cancel or the day we confirm the refund to you. We refund in IDR to the account you paid from, unless we agree another account with you.

9. Health, safety and conduct on board

  • Tell us when you book about any medical condition, pregnancy, reduced mobility, allergy or special diet. Liveaboards sail in remote areas, and medical help can be hours away.
  • Follow the instructions of the captain and crew, and wear a life jacket when asked.
  • Follow the rules of Komodo National Park: visit the islands with a ranger, keep your distance from Komodo dragons, and do not touch or feed wildlife, take coral or shells, or leave litter.
  • The captain may refuse to take a guest, or ask a guest to leave the trip, when their behaviour or condition puts the boat, the crew or other guests at risk, for example after too much alcohol. In that case there is no refund.
  • Divers must show their certification, follow the dive guide’s briefing and dive within their training and limits.

10. Children

Children travel with a parent or guardian who looks after them at all times. Tell us the ages of children when you book. Children under 2 do not pay the park fee. Some boats suit young children less well than others, so ask us before you book.

11. Travel documents, flights and insurance

  • You are responsible for your passport, visa and any health requirements, and for reaching the meeting point on time. We recommend arriving the day before your trip. A missed departure, for example because of a late flight, counts as a cancellation on the day of departure.
  • Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend insurance that covers cancellation, medical treatment and evacuation and, if you dive, diving.

12. Our responsibility

We are responsible for the booking service we provide: making your booking correctly, passing on the information we receive from the operators, and handling your payments and refunds as these terms describe. The operator is responsible for the trip, the boat, its crew and safety on board. We are not responsible for delays, changes or costs caused by events outside our control, by flights or other services you booked yourself, or by your own actions. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Indonesian consumer protection law.

13. Photos and descriptions

Boat photos and descriptions come from the operators, and we keep them as accurate as we can. Small differences, for example in furniture or cabin layout, can happen. If the operator has to change your cabin, we tell you as soon as we know and agree a fair solution with you.

14. Complaints

If something is wrong during your trip, tell the crew straight away so they can put it right. If it is not solved, write to us at booking@divetrips.id or on WhatsApp, during the trip or within 30 days after it. We reply within 7 days.

15. Your personal data

We use your details to run your booking, as our Privacy Policy explains.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If we disagree, we will first try to settle it with you directly. If we cannot, the dispute goes to the East Jakarta District Court (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Timur). This does not affect any right you have to use a consumer dispute service or court under the law that protects you.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you book applies to your booking.
