Questions

Before you book

The things people ask us most.

How does booking a sharing trip work?
Choose a boat and a departure, pick your cabin and enter your details. The cabin is held for you and the invoice is emailed immediately. You pay online by following the invoice, and the operator confirms your trip.
What is the difference between a sharing trip (open trip) and a private charter?
On a sharing trip you share the boat with other guests, join a scheduled departure and pay per person. On a private charter you rent the whole boat and crew for your own group, choose your dates and pay one price per boat.
How do I request a private charter?
Open the boat page and use the request form at the bottom. Choose private charter or private charter diving, pick your dates on the calendar and you see the price for those dates straight away. The operator confirms availability within 24 hours and no payment is taken when you send the request.
Are the prices per person or per boat?
Sharing trip prices are per person. Private charter prices are per boat for the trip length you choose, and the boat page lists the rates for regular and high season.
What is included in the price?
It depends on the boat. Each boat page lists what is included and what is not. The Komodo National Park entrance fee is not part of the trip price; it is added to your invoice. Check the boat page or ask us before you book.
When is the best time to go?
Komodo is best from April to November. Raja Ampat is best from October to April. Lombok to Komodo trips run mostly in the dry season. Each destination page has the details.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Conditions depend on the operator of the boat and are shown on the boat page and on your invoice. If you need flexibility, message us on WhatsApp before you book and we will tell you what applies.
Do I need to be a certified diver?
Not to join a sharing trip or a private charter. For private charter diving, tell us your certification and number of dives in the request, so the operator can plan suitable dives.
