Sail Komodo on Sora
Sora is a 32-metre phinisi sailing from Labuan Bajo into Komodo National Park, for up to twenty-four guests in ten cabins, each with air conditioning and a private bathroom. Eight cabins are on the main deck and have their own balcony: two Master Cabins with a 180-degree sea view and six Signature Cabins with a 90-degree view, all with a double bed. On the upper deck, two Superior Sharing Cabins with four single beds each are sold by the bed. They are mixed, with a curtain between the beds, and an affordable way for solo travellers to see Komodo from the water.
Three days in Komodo National Park
Sharing trips leave Labuan Bajo on Fridays and Mondays, with pick-up from the airport or your hotel between 8:00 and 10:00. After lunch on board you hike Kelor Island, snorkel at Manjarite and anchor off Kalong Island, where flying foxes leave the mangroves at sunset. Day two starts on Padar Island before breakfast and continues to Pink Beach, the Komodo dragons on Komodo Island, the sandbank of Taka Makassar and Manta Point. On the last morning you snorkel at Siaba or Sebayur, and the boat is back in Labuan Bajo at noon.
Meals, drinking water, coffee and tea, afternoon snacks and juices, Wi-Fi, snorkelling gear, canoes and paddle boards, a guide and drone and GoPro photos are included, and the sun deck is the place to be between stops. The Komodo National Park entrance fee is added to your booking. Book a cabin or a single bed on a sharing trip, or charter the whole boat for your group.
